Family Home Furniture has been a staple in Millbrook for over 15 years, and now the store is celebrating a new location, located at 1935 Grandview Road.
Owned by Robert Fales, and formally known as U Can Rent, the furniture retailer was first housed next to Food Outlet on Hwy 14. The store then moved to another nearby location, before settling into its newest retail space with a new building.
This move has been about three years in the making.
“I’ve actually been working on moving the store for three years,” owner Robert Fales said.
While the location has changed, low prices on quality furniture remain the same.
“It is a beautiful new store to serve the City of Millbrook and the River Region area, so that we can provide quality products and affordable prices, be the low-price leader.”
Before the move, Fales was leasing retail space, but with this new location, leasing is a thing of the past.
“I built my own facility and that allows us to be more in control of our operating expenses and things like that,” he said.
The store location is near the hub of new construction. With 17 Springs coming and the new Publix Grocery Store, this new location is sure to be more visible to commuters, and it is near the Hwy 14 exit off of I-65.
“This will allow us to be more visible to people that live just on the other side of the interstate, also,” Fales said.
Family Home Furniture offers products from several high-end vendors, at the lowest possible costs.
“We have added some products,” Family Home Furniture’s Brian Edgeworth said. “We do sell Progressive Furniture. We do sell Million Dollar Rustic, which is rustic furniture. We sell Furniture of America. We sell Jackson Catnapper as well as Liberty, Coaster and Lane.”
“We do sell your big brands and big names. We’ve got everything from dining room suits, reclining pieces, sectionals, an entertainment section. We’ll have games, you know, for the man caves, or woman cave. Pretty much anything that goes in the home or outside of the home, when it comes to furniture that we carry. We even carry some Amish furniture.”
Not only does Family Home Furniture offer something for every room, but it also offers top name brand appliances and electronics and appliances.
According to Fales, friendly service and lower prices are key to good business.
“The future is bright here at Family Home Furniture,” he said.
