The streets of downtown Prattville were filled with parade goers on Saturday afternoon for Mardi Gras. Vendors opened at 11 and the parade kicked off at 2 p.m.

In the vendor section, there was something for everyone. There were food vendors of all sorts, vendors offering handmade and homemade products, and a kid’s station that included bouncy houses and blowup slides.

Local weather forecasters, including Rich Thomas, the WAKA Weather Team, and the WSFA Weather team were this year’s Grand Marshals. It was to show appreciation for all the weather teams did during the recent storms. Perhaps they used their influence, as the weather was picture perfect for a great day in Prattville.

Thousands lined the streets hoping to grab moon pies, beads, candy and more.

Some of this year’s parade entries include The City of Prattville, The Autauga County Sheriff’s Department, Prattville Autauga Humane Shelter, The Pops, Serve Pro, iFoam, local dance studios, local radio stations, and the Way Off Broadway Theater.
