FROM THE PRATTVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
On 01/04/2023, Prattville Officers responded to the 1800 block of East Main St in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Both parties of the accident were transported to area hospitals to be treated for their injuries. One of the drivers in the accident later passed away due to his injuries.
During the investigation it was determined Cody McLaren was the primary contributing unit of the accident. There was sufficient evidence collected to obtain an arrest warrant for Manslaughter on McLaren. On 02/02/2023 McLaren was arrested for Manslaughter and transported to the Autauga County Metro Jail. McLaren had an initial bond of $150,000 but has bonded out of jail per jail records.
This case is still under investigation by the Prattville Police Department.
