The City of Millbrook has an opening for Ward 5 on the City Council, after Hal Hodge stepped down from his seat. Hodge moved to a new residence in another ward, and therefore can no longer serve on the council for Ward 5.
However, he will take on a new role with the Millbrook Planning Commission. On Tuesday Mayor Al Kelley appointed Hodge and Kim Anderson both to the Planning Commission Board to fill vacancies.
He praised both Hodge and Anderson for their desire to serve the city on the Planning Commission and said both will be a huge asset.
