Halloween night had thousands of children and adults in costumes throughout our area, as they visited festivals and neighborhoods.

Live Oaks Subdivision located in Millbrook, Alabama is one of the many popular places to come for candy. This neighborhood had amazing and spooky Halloween decorations. One of homes had a video playing on a projector with spooky scenes, others handed out the good stuff, like full-sized candy bars. One particular home had special treats for the parents too. Millbrook Police Department had officers out in area neighborhoods so families could trick-or-treat with their children under the officers’ watchful eyes.

Millbrook Baptist Church had over 750 guests attend their annual Fall Festival event. They offered plenty of food, fun, candy, and many games for all ages. A total of 11 games were out on their lawn. A new attraction this year was an obstacle course. Kids enjoyed the games, especially the fishing game and football toss.

Among the revelry the church provided a Prayer Tent as well, for those in need.

An Agent with ALEA brought the new Armored Vehicle to display.

There were over 60 church members in attendance helping out during the festival. The Balloon Guy (Mr. Taunton), Inflatable slide, and the Cake Walk were very popular with the crowd.

The church had plenty of volunteers who helped with preparation of the event by setting up and cleaning up, and cooking hot dogs.

Mike Ingram is the Pastor for Millbrook Baptist Church and spoke to EAN about the event. “The Fall Festival is the largest event we do each year. It gives us an opportunity to meet the community around us and to let them know we want to be a part of their lives by showing the love of Jesus” Ingram said.
