The Alabama State University Police Department has located subjects wanted for questioning regarding an ongoing investigation for an auto theft and a fraudulent use of a credit/debit card charge.

Alabama State University Police Investigators contacted CrimeStoppers, Thursday, October 13, 2022, and released a photo of three unknown subjects wanted for questioning for a stolen vehicle and a fraudulent use of a credit/debit card investigation. The original offense occurred, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at about 2:30 p.m. on campus in the parking lot of the Dunn-Oliver Acadome, located at 915 S. Jackson Street, Montgomery, Alabama.

Investigators say the victim’s vehicle, a 2007, Nissan, Altima, Beige in color, was taken from campus. Investigators say the victim received text notifications of purchases that were made with the victim’s credit card. The pictured suspect’s paid for items with the victim’s stolen credit/debit card at various fast-food restaurants, located on Ann Street. The suspects were seen on video exiting the victim’s vehicle and entering one of the restaurants. The vehicle was located on campus, Friday, October 7, 2022. The vehicle was returned to the victim.

Thanks to an anonymous tip, the wanted subjects were identified and located. CrimeStoppers is offering a cash reward to the anonymous tipster who provided the information that helped investigators solve the case.

Both male subjects wearing blue sweatshirts in the original lookout have been identified and are no longer being sought by law enforcement. However, the subject wearing the red sweatsuit, has been identified and is currently wanted by law enforcement.  The suspect in the lookout is, Julian Jones, 18. Jones is wanted for fraudulent use of a credit card and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
