The Alabama State University Police Department is investigating an auto theft and multiple fraudulent use of a credit/debit card charges and seeks the public’s help in identifying persons of interest wanted for questioning.
Alabama State University Police Investigators released a photo of three unknown subjects wanted for questioning for an auto theft and multiple fraudulent use of a credit/debit card charges. The original offense occurred, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at about 2:30 p.m. on campus in the parking lot of the Dunn-Oliver Acadome, located at 915 S. Jackson Street, Montgomery, Alabama. Investigators say the victim’s vehicle, a 2007, Nissan, Altima, Beige in color, was stolen from campus. Investigators say the victim received text notifications of purchases that were made with the victim’s credit card. The pictured suspect’s paid for items with the victim’s stolen credit/debit card at various fast-food restaurants, located on Ann Street. The suspects were seen on video exiting the victim’s vehicle and entering one of the restaurants.
The stolen vehicle was located on campus, Friday, October 7, 2022. The vehicle was returned to the victim. Investigators are listing the wanted subjects as persons of interest pending the investigation. There is no other information available.
