The Autauga County Bama Fans (ACBF) group is an official chapter of the University of Alabama’s National Alumni Association. They are housed in Prattville and welcome all Alabama Fans and Alumni to their events. The group’s purpose is to bring Alabama fans together for networking, events, fellowship, and to raise funds for scholarships and the community. In the past they have participated in their own events while also participating in local community events such as canned food drives, the YMCA’s Sinkapalooza for Coach a Child Fund, the inaugural Ian Jackson Football Camp, and more.

The group hosts multiple events throughout the year including a Fall/Winter event, Spring event, Scholarship event, and other special events. All are invited to any event and to keep up with what is going on, please follow them on Facebook. To contact them please message on Facebook or email AutuagaCountyBamaFans@gmail.com

Scholarships:

The main motivation of the Autauga County Bama Fans is to give scholarships to local students attending the University of Alabama. They maintain six current scholarship endowments and in September 2022 earned a new endowment through a local family, totaling named scholarships to seven. In Spring 2022, they awarded over $11,000 to 8 recipients and helped two others apply to a special scholarship to receive full tuition to the University. All events hosted raise funds for scholarships.

Upcoming Events and Community Service:

ACBF is hosting and participating in their own version of “Beat Auburn, Beat Hunger” which is an annual event hosted by the University of Alabama and Auburn University to see which schools can raise the most money and non-perishable food items for the six weeks prior to the Iron Bowl. Beginning October 11 – November 18, you can drop off donations (monetary or food) to the Trustmark Bank in Downtown Prattville. There will be an area decorated in the lobby for your donations. There will be an Alabama box and an Auburn box. All donations will go to the AICC (Autauga Interfaith Care Center).

ACBF will host a “Meet and Greet” for Young Professionals on Thursday, October 27, at the Autauga Creek Craft House from 5:30-6:30. All fans and alumni are encouraged to attend to network with our local young people.

ACBF is currently hosting a membership drive, from today to October 31. Memberships last July 1 – June 30 each year. Chapter Treasurer Wade Seamon explained “Being a member of the local alumni chapter allows you to enjoy a spirit of fellowship and expand your sphere of influence among your peers. It also allows you to stay informed about the progress and needs of our University and participate in fundraising for local scholarships.”

They have four membership tiers and anyone, regardless if an alumni, can be a member. Becoming a member allows the group to run, host events, give scholarships, and more. By becoming a member you will receive member discounts to events, a membership card, and ACBF is currently working on more perks for its members.
