Grab the family and head to the annual Millbrook Police Department Cops and Kids Day Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Village Green Park in Millbrook.
This annual event brings out loads of first responders, demonstrations, FREE food and T-shirts (while they last), games and more.
K9 officer “Glock” will be on hand for demonstrations. EMA vehicles will be on site for the kids to explore and take photos.
There will also be Bounce Houses, Go Cart rides and a dunking booth.
“This is an event we look forward to all year, and I thank everyone who has worked so hard to plan this year’s event,” Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson said. “This year we are emphasizing Breast Cancer Awareness, as this is something that all of us have probably dealt with in our families.”
Johnson said it is important for kids and first responders to make a connection in a positive way.
“All too often when a child becomes lost, they may not try and find a police officer to ask for help. We want families to know we are here to help, and protect them.”
Everything for Cops and Kids Day is FREE! Come out and have a great time in a family-friendly atmosphere.
Village Green Park is located on Main Street downtown.
