Week 4 of local sports saw some great wins and disappointing losses in both volleyball and football. A huge sweep of inclement weather across the state caused football teams to move games from their regularly scheduled Friday nights to Thursday night; 100 games across the state were played on Thursday, September 8 while 101 games were played on Friday, September 9. Teams that sent in information were awarded “Players of the Game.”

Thursday, September 8:
Autaugaville vs Calhoun, Autaugaville winning 36-0
Billingsley vs Verbena, Billingsley losing 54-14. Player of the game is Randriquis McCary who rushed 9 times for 95 yards and also had 12 tackles on defense.
Marbury vs Demopolis, Marbury losing 54-0
Prattville vs Dothan, Prattville losing 14-10
Prattville Christian Academy had a bye week
Stanhope Elmore High had a bye week
Holtville vs Selma, Holtville losing 18-7
Elmore County vs Central School of Clay County, ECHS losing 49-21
Tallassee vs Beauregard, Tallassee losing 14-6
