Montgomery County: Pedestrian killed after Vehicle strikes Cable Wire in Roadway Tuesday

MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, has claimed the life of a Dothan man. Jose A. Prado, 23, was critically injured when the 2020 Subaru Impreza driven by an 18-year-old collided with cable wire laying in the roadway, which struck Prado.

Prado was transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The crash occurred on Marler Road near Alabama 110, approximately 12 miles east of Montgomery, in Montgomery County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
