Pine Level [Autauga County], AL – Members of the committee formed to pursue incorporation of Pine Level have been working steadily to prepare materials and an online presence to inform area residents of the benefits of forming the Town of Pine Level. With meetings occurring an average twice per month, the active members of the committee have created an informational brochure and a website in an attempt to share all of the facts with the community. In addition, a community meeting has been scheduled for 7:00 pm on August 22nd at Marbury High School.

Community Response Generally Positive

Committee members have begun to canvass the neighborhoods, sharing information with residents, gauging interest levels, and acquiring signatures from property owners that are interested in the incorporation of the community. The initial response from the residents who have been visited has been positive.

Legal Process Initiated

The committee has retained an attorney who is experienced in the municipal incorporation process to ensure that all activities are performed in a legal manner. The attorney has been involved in municipal incorporations throughout the state and is reviewing all forms and information to ensure that the laws of the State of Alabama regarding incorporation are being followed.
