When students are walking through the hallways of Stanhope Elmore High School next month, there is going to be new faces in administration that will be different from last year. Kimberly Copeland, formerly of Jeff Davis High School and Lana Moore, of Millbrook Middle School, have both moved into the Assistant Principal roles at the school.

The new assistant principals had not been given a chance to be introduced to the students since everyone is still on summer break. However, with the football team in the midst of summer workouts, it was a good opportunity for the team to get to know the two newest members of the administration.

“It’s very exciting… when you get to see the excitement [from the students] it makes me excited for the school year,” said Copeland. Both assistant principals are looking forward to an outstanding school year, and both will bring unique experiences and skillsets that will be positive for the school.

Stanhope Elmore High School Principal Ewell Fuller spoke very highly of the two newest members of his administration. “We are ready to hit the ground running, I told them that we have great kids and great faculty, and a great community that backs us up,” he said. “It’s one of those things where you come in here and become a part of a family, and they’re going to fit right in,” he continued.

The new school year is rapidly approaching, with the first day being August 8th.
