Hello from Romania! Today, our team of nine is in Transylvania, Romania, sharing with a displaced group of Ukrainian orphans that they have a Heavenly Father who will never leave nor forsake them!
We will be with these beautiful kids for one week . . . they have already captured us in every way. These children – so resilient – laugh and play with all of their hearts. Life has taught them to live in the moment, because the next moment is not promised and they understand the concept. The first day, I shared the very simple message of God’s love, that He specifically loves each of them and that He is fully present in every way with them any time they call on Him.
Other messages have already come. Nancy shared about David and Goliath. She told these kids how, in spite of mistakes, God loved David and David knew it. God’s love made a difference in David’s life. Terri had a very intimate talk with the kids about fear. She told about her illness and the fear and other challenges it brought. She told that she wanted to run and play with the kids, but, because of illness, she just couldn’t. But that didn’t mean that she didn’t love each one of those kids in the room.
As she talked, our team saw many tears dropping from young eyes. Even the ‘tough’ teenaged boys were broken with this message. The truth is, God has broken all of our hearts, for each other and for Him. As I write this to you, my heart is full and overflowing. I want the best for these children and I know you do as well.
As often as I have shared life with Ukrainian orphans, there always comes the moment when I look into a child’s face and see the face of God. It has happened to me here, in the shy smiles from the less extroverted to the peals of laughter from those with few inhibitions. I wish you could be here with us.
I will write more soon; I just wanted you to have an update and see the faces of the gorgeous children who need our help. As always, I need your prayers and your support. We are supported by generous donations of the people of God. On this trip we have put shoes on each child, we’ve given gifts to express our love, your love and God’s love, we’ve bought food and given material support in every way that we can. Your generosity makes that possible.
Please take the time to look through these pictures. I’ll be adding captions and more pictures over the next days . . . stay tuned!
Thank you so much for your friendship, your prayers and your support. There is much work for us to do. If the Russians left Ukraine today, it will be months and possibly years before there are places for all of the orphans to life in their homeland. We want to take the opportunity to continue to share life in Christ with as many as we can. Your support makes this work possible.
Please don’t stop praying!!
If you can help in any way, thank you. We are absolutely changing lives together.

Believing in miracles,

PS: Please pray with us. With so many orphans in need, there are SO MANY DETAILS. Please pray that every need will be met and that each child will profoundly experience God . . . and never again be the same. Please pray that their eyes will open to new possibilities and the life-changing hope that only comes from knowing God.
