A woman was arrested overnight by the Prattville Police Department after an officer attempted to pull her over for a traffic stop, but she allegedly refused to stop.

Just a few minutes after midnight, the officer attempted to stop Patricia Hope Williams, 46, in the area of Fairview and Memorial Drive in Prattville. The officer reported over the radio the vehicle was narrowly missing mailboxes, all over the road, and at one point almost struck his unit. At another point he said the vehicle narrowly missed a house.

In radio traffic the officer said they were traveling on several different streets in the area, and eventually reported he thought the suspect vehicle had lost a tire. The vehicle finally came to a stop in a ditch on Hwy. 31 North and Williams was taken into custody for suspected DUI.

She was booked into the Autauga Metro Jail on a $500 bond.

According to Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson there were no serious injuries or damages to property, and once stopped, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
