Wednesday was a great day of celebration for members of the Prattville Fire Department and their families as several employees got pinned and recognized for their outstanding work.

Chief Terry Brown stood before the families of three Fire Medics, a Sergeant, a Battalion Chief and a Deputy Fire Marshall speaking encouraging words about the people being recognized.

“We have a talented group of people working here,” he said. “Our individuals are smart, they care for our citizens, and they have character, and that’s what we’re built on. I’m proud of everyone that’s achieved a goal today and I look forward to what we can do each and every day.”

Deputy Fire Chief Josh Bingham came forward to facilitate the pinning ceremony.

“Today we are here to honor and pin six special men,” he said.

With that Bingham listed the men who would be getting their pins including Deputy Fire Marshall James Allen, Battalion Chief Shane Price, Sergeant Dalton Traywick, Fire Medic Patrick Lindsay, Fire Medic Lance Hilyer and Fire Medic James Richardson.

Each man, when called, stepped forward and a family member helped pin them and each got a round of applause from the group.
