Child Abuse Prevention Month to be Recognized in Autauga, Elmore Counties

Three separate events in Autauga and Elmore Counties will recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. (If you know of others, please email information to editorsarah@yahoo.com

ELMORE COUNTY –

First up is in Elmore County April 1 at 10 a.m. at the Elmore County DHR.

Come and “Plant” a Pinwheel in honor of child.

This event presented by Butterfly Bridge, CAC Satellite Office of Elmore County, Elmore County Family Resource Center, Inc. and Elmore County Alabama Extension

It will take place at the Elmore County DHR located at 8961 US-231, Wetumpka, AL. This event is open to the public.

The morning will include a proclamation reading by Judge Pinkston and planting pinwheels in honor of a child in Elmore County. Please attend and help bring child abuse awareness and prevention to Elmore County.

THEN ON APRIL 6th, Coaches Corner of Wetumpka is giving back in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month. A percentage of all sales that day will go to Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center!

IN AUTAUGA COUNTY –

On April 4, Child Abuse Prevention Month will Kick-off in Autauga County at 10 a.m. It will take place at the Autauga County Family Support Center located at 113 West Main Street in Prattville.

This event is sponsored by Butterfly Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center, Autauga County Family Support Center and Autauga County CASA.

The public is invited to attend any of these events and show your support in the cause of preventing child abuse.
