Elmore County School Superintendent Richard Dennis confirms that two employees at Wetumpka High School are on administrative leave, pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
“Two personnel at Wetumpka high School were placed on administrative leave until an investigation is concluded,” Dennis told the EAN. “We are unable to make a comment on personnel matters.”
The identities of the employees have not been released, nor specifics of allegations.
At a school board meeting earlier this week, members went into an executive session regarding “the good name and character” of an employee. It is not clear if that meeting involved the two employees currently on administrative leave.
