Wetumpka’s Mardi Gras Festival, Parade is Saturday Rain or Shine!

FROM JEFF ROYAL

The Wetumpka Mardi Gras Festival will open at 9:00 am and the parade will roll at 1:00 pm Saturday, Feb. 26.  We are one of the largest and best Mardi Gras parades in the River Region drawing numerous vendors and parade goers to celebrate with our friends and family. We had over 100 entries for the 2020 Festival!

The parade is the central focus and we strive to grow it and make it diverse and exciting as possible. It serves as a way to bring the spirit of celebration and carnival to town and give people an opportunity who may never make it to Mobile or New Orleans the chance to be a part of Mardi Gras.

From classic Corvettes to classic Shriners to boy and girl scouts our parade is fun for all ages, all walks of life and truly…in its makeup…embodies the spirit of community.

So find your spot and get ready to catch Moon Pies, beads and trinkets!

Event is Rain or Shine!
