HSEC Pet of the Week – Rocket

Rocket is a 2-3 year-old male, about 30 lbs, rather light boned so perhaps has something like Whippet in him but we are guessing. Rocket is VERY SHY when he first meets you and quite scared of men sadly. Once he is more comfortable with you he loves tummy rubs and being petted. Rocket will need a quiet type home and a gentle touch to build his confidence. He is supposedly good with older children. He is fine with other dogs that aren’t too over the top energy wise. We think he is the kind of dog that will just blossom in the right home for him.
Our adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
