The Montgomery Police Department has officially notified CrimeStoppers of the identity and arrest of a person wanted for his involvement in multiple burglaries.

Montgomery Investigators identified 56-year-old Darryl Harris who was featured in a CrimeStoppers segment on December 21, 2021.  The segment aired photos and video of an unknown male captured on several residential surveillance cameras wearing a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt wanted for committing burglary in the Old Cloverdale community in the months of October and November.

On Thursday, December 30, 2021, a Montgomery County Sheriff Patrol Unit took Darryl Harris into custody near the intersection of Vaughn Road and Pike Road. Harris was then transported to the Montgomery Police Criminal Investigation Division for questioning. Daryl Harris admitted to the October 20th offense of entering into a victim’s residence without her permission. At this time, Harris is being charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft of Property 1st Degree.

On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 10:00 pm, the pictured suspect made allegedly made unforced entry into a residence in the 100 block of Clanton Avenue. Once inside, the subject was confronted by the homeowner and fled with property belonging to the victim. The subject was described as a black male wearing what appears to be a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt.
