ELMORE COUNTY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT
The COVID spike is continuing upward this week with 406 students and 96 employees reporting testing positive. This spike is expected to continue for a couple of more weeks which may impact more schools. Holtville High, Stanhope Elmore High, and Elmore County High Schools observed an e-day today due to the number of faculty and staff absences. Monday is MLK Holiday and at that time we will evaluate each school’s status and determine if there is a need to shift to a virtual platform. If so, notification to parents and students will be made on Monday. Also, please be aware that bus routes in some areas will be delayed due to a shortage of drivers and substitute drivers. This situation may continue for the duration of the COVID spike.
