Two-Vehicle Crash Dec. 1 Claims Life of Tallassee Woman identified as Emmie Moncrief, 83

MONTGOMERY POST – A two-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, has claimed the life of a Tallassee woman. Emmie C. Moncrief, 83, was fatally injured when she was attempting to retrieve an object from the roadway and first was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling east, and then struck by a 2019 Ford F-350 traveling west driven by Ritchie D. Terrell, 63, of Tallassee. The crash occurred on Alabama 14 west near the 187 mile marker in Elmore County, approximately five miles west of Tallassee. Moncrief was pronounced deceased on the scene. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
