PAHS PET OF THE WEEK: Meet Ray! Handsome and Energetic Lab Waiting for New Family

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Ray is a 2-year-old male Yellow Lab mix who has already been neutered.  He came to PAHS as a stray from the city; we were shocked when his owner never came looking for him.  Ray is about as handsome as any dog could be!  He is yellow and he weighs 65 pounds so he is a large dog.  Ray is a perfect example of how energetic a Lab can be.

He is super active and playful but nothing a daily romp in a nice fenced yard wouldn’t help with.  Ray is also very sweet and gets along great with other dogs.  He would be just fine in a home with children; but due to his size and energy level, probably should not be in a home with small children.  Ray is working on his leash training and with an experienced and patient owner he will quickly learn acceptable behavior.  He is smart and eager to please once he understands what it is you want him to do.  Please come out and meet our great, BIG, bouncing boy–Ray!

Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats.  This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.

The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.   We do close one day each month for staff training — that will be on October 28th this month.

Adoptions are currently by appointment only.   For more information about our shelter,  please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

We appreciate your continued support in finding homes for these great pets.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
