On October 30th, Eclectic Senior Center will join Kent’s Fall Festival. At their table, tickets will be sold to win a large basket of goodies for pets – cats, dogs and maybe a surprise for bird owners. We ask that everyone visit the table and purchase tickets for one dollar each. The lucky ticket will be drawn at 2 p.m. and the winner called with the good news.
The Senior Center is a beehive of activity for members every day of the week. For those who sit at home wishing to be more active, this is the place to be. Becoming a part of the Center is as easy as filling out a single form and turning it in to the manager, Ms. Minnie Johnson.
Minnie seeks out day trips, restaurant dining, and other places of interest. On Wednesdays Bingo is a favorite of everyone. During the rest of the week, there are board games. Feisty card players come early to begin a competitive game of Canasta Hand and Foot. For those who might enjoy Mahjongg, we have a player teaching other members.
We look forward to welcoming anyone interested in joining the Center. And don’t forget to visit the Eclectic Senior Center table at the Kent baseball field during the Fall Festival Oct. 30.
