Sable was chosen to be our featured pet this week. She is a very special dog!
Sable is a 7-and-1/2-year-old female Shepherd/Yellow Lab mix who has already been spayed. She is a very light color of yellow–almost white. Sable weighs about 60 pounds so she is a large adult dog. This sweet girl is very sweet, mild mannered, and well behaved. Sable gets along well with other dogs and she would love to have children in her new home. She is already housetrained and leash trained so what more could you ask?
Sable has beauty, brains, great temperament, AND housetrained! Did we mention she is sweet as sugar and very well behaved? Sable sounds like the perfect dog for anyone who would like to add a new four- legged family member to their home!
Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats. This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.
Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.
We do close one day each month for staff training — that will be on October 28th this month. Adoptions are currently by appointment only.
