MONTGOMERY POST — A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, has claimed the life of a second person. Petra F. Altenhofen, 50, of Montgomery was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer when she crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Alana K. Golson, 39, of Prattville. Altenhofen was transported to Baptist Medical Center South, in Montgomery, where she on Monday, Sept. 27, succumbed to her injuries.
Golson was fatally injured and pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, which occurred on U.S. 82 east near the 135 mile marker, approximately three miles west of Prattville, in Autauga County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
