Wetumpka, Al. – TCC, one of the nation’s largest Verizon authorized retailers, announces a recent $1,000 donation to Adullam International Ministries in Wetumpka, AL, to celebrate the Wetumpka store’s reopening. This location is open to customers at 4350 US Highway 231, and the Adullam House was chosen to receive its donation by the local TCC store team.
In continued efforts to give back to its operating communities, TCC is providing donations to local nonprofits for each store opening, reopening and relocation in 2021. Each TCC store is continuing to follow CDC recommendations and state guidelines surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, prioritizing customer and employee safety with each store opening.
“At the core of our business is a desire and passion to give back to our communities, and we are excited to celebrate our Wetumpka store’s reopening by giving back to a nonprofit in its community,” said Scott Moorehead, CEO of Round Room, parent company of TCC. “The work the Adullam House does for the children of Wetumpka is truly incredible, and we are proud to assist them in furthering their efforts to help as many as they can.”
The Adullam House is a nonprofit that provides short-term or permanent housing for vulnerable children in Alabama and beyond. The organization’s various programs and services provide housing, food, clothing, education and more for children in need.
“The Adullam House is a safe place for at-risk children, and the generous support of our community is absolutely vital to the success of our mission,” said Philip Powell, office administrative assistant, the Adullam House. “We are incredibly thankful for TCC in enabling us to not only provide for the outward needs of our children, but also to love and nurture them in a way that may have never been possible without their kindness.”
TCC is a Culture of Good, Inc. company and makes ongoing investments in the local communities where it operates. The company recently donated more than 140,000 backpacks as a part of its ninth annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway, marking more than 1.2 million backpacks donated since the giveaway launched in 2013. Additionally in 2021, TCC donated $50,000 to in-person children’s summer camps across the nation, as well as teacher appreciation kits to more than 500 schools nationwide to show gratitude for educators balancing the struggles of teaching in-person and virtually. The company’s nonprofit organization, TCC Gives, recently surpassed $2.5 million in donations to local nonprofits across the country.
