PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Floyd; Pet Palooza Coming Oct. 16 to Cooters Pond Park

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Floyd was selected to be our pet of the week.

Floyd is a 4-month-old male Black Lab mix who was found as a stray and no owner ever claimed him.  He is black with some white markings; and we think he is a very pretty guy!  Floyd weighs 25 pounds and we believe he will be a medium sized adult dog who will weigh 30-60 pounds.

He lives up to the reputation of Labs by his happy love of life!  Floyd never meets a stranger and would be good with other dogs and children.  With his boundless energy he would need a nice fenced yard where he could safely play.  Floyd is eager to please and with a little patience from his new owner would be quickly trained to do just about anything.  Don’t miss out on your chance to meet and adopt Floyd!

Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats.  This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.

Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.   We do close one day each month for staff training which will be on Thursday, September 30th.

Adoptions are currently by appointment only.

We want to invite everyone to make plans to attend our Pet Palooza  being held on Saturday, October 16th from 10:00 until 2:00 at Cooters Pond Park.  For more information about our shelter,  please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Thank you so much for your help in finding homes for these pets.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
