Sonnie is an 8-year-old female Puginese (Pug/Pekingnese) mix who has already been spayed. She was found as a stray and her owner never came to reclaim her. When Sonnie came to PAHS she was heart worm positive. She has been treated and is now heart worm free. Sonnie is tan with some black highlights and white markings. She has a definitive underbite that makes her little face just adorable. Sonnie currently weighs 10 pounds so she is considered to be a small adult dog. She is a friendly little gal who would be good with older children; we would not recommend Sonnie be in a home with young children. She is great with other small dogs and cats. She is housetrained. This senior lady would love to be someone’s best friend and devoted little companion. Sonnie has so much to offer to her adopter; she would make a wonderful lap dog!
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We do close one day each month for staff training which will be on Thursday, September 30th. Adoptions are currently by appointment only. We want to invite everyone to make plans to attend our Pet Palooza being held on Saturday, October 16th from 10:00 until 2:00 at Cooters Pond Park.
