If you are a lady that is new to the area, or perhaps just wanting to make new friends, the Prattville/Millbrook Newcomers Club could be your answer. The Club is celebrating 10 years of friendship and adventure this year. They have a lot of plans for the coming year and invite YOU to be a part of their organization.
They will meet Sept. 16 at the Plantation House Restaurant in Millbrook and you are welcome to attend. Please read the information below, and enjoy the photos from previous adventures. This is a great group, with a lot of energy and fun, as well as love of education and new things.

Prattville/Millbrook Friends and Newcomers Club
The Prattville/Millbrook Friends and Newcomers Club is starting their 10th year on September 16, 2021. The Club will be meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the Plantation House Restaurant at 3240 Grandview Road. We will meet in the back room.
Our Meet and Greet starts at 9:30 a.m. so come early to sign up for Interest Groups, get the nametags, etc. The meeting begins at 10:00. We have a busy year ahead. We welcome all ladies in the area. We have a lot of retired ladies, Grandmas who have moved here to be near family, and ladies that just want to do things with other friends. Even if you have lived here a long time, we welcome you.
We usually have a local speaker with interesting information for us. The September Program is “Let’s Get Reacquainted” remembering the past year and reviewing all we have planned for the coming year in the club.
We have several Interest Groups that meet during the month at various times, in different locations. We tend to go to lunch a lot, but all of this is optional. You only do what you want, each month. Try them if you want. A few of the most popular are:
Monthly Birthday Luncheons at local restaurants.
There is Food Fun and Friends monthly where we all take a dish for lunch at various friends’ homes.
We have Game Day every Thursday at 1:00 at the Prattville Gillespie Senior Center. We play various card games, Dominoes and other board games.
We have a Trips and Tours Group. These would be various side trips to museums, shopping and other attractions or events. Carpooling and spouses or friends are welcome to join us.
Anytime there is a play in Prattville, Millbrook or Wetumpka, we (spouses included if they want) meet for dinner first, or just meet at the plays to enjoy them together. We carpool for those who do not drive at night.
We have a Book Club on second Mondays (10:00 a.m.) Millbrook Library.
Chat and Craft every Tuesday at 11:00 at the Millbrook Library (bring a sack lunch).
And several others (Trips and Tours, Junken, movies and various parties).
We invite any ladies (new or not) in the area to come and see if you are interested. You may visit several events before joining. Our dues are $10 for the year.
