MONTGOMERY POST — A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10, has claimed the life of a Lawley woman.
Sara Swindall Moreland, 34, was fatally injured when the 2018 Toyota Camry she was driving collided head-on with a 2020 Kia Optima driven by Bruce McGinniss that swerved into her path. The crash occurred on Alabama 22 near the 63 mile marker, in Chilton County, approximately one miles west of Clanton.
Moreland was transported to St. Vincent’s in Clanton, where she was pronounced deceased. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
