An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death of a Deatsville man in Autauga County, according to Autauga Sheriff Joe Sedinger.
Around 8 p.m. Monday, deputies and first responders were called to a home on Hwy. 40 on the Autauga County side after a man was found under a house, unresponsive. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies are conducting a death investigation, but there was no sign of foul play.
“The man had apparently been working underneath a home next to his,” Sheriff Sedinger said. “At this time, we cannot say what caused his death. His wife was at their residence and went to check on him, and found him unresponsive. There could be many factors, so we are investigating at this time.”
The investigation remains open as the sheriff awaits results from a scheduled autopsy. The man’s name has not been released at this time.
