Motorcycle Crash Claims Two Lives Saturday After Cycle Strikes Cable Barrier

MONTGOMERY POST — A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:08 a.m. Saturday, June 12, has claimed the lives of a Hanceville man and woman.

George Wallace Williams, 35, was operating a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, along with Bridget Leashae Williams, 30, who was a passenger. George Williams was attempting to pass another vehicle when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a cable barrier, causing both the Williamses to be ejected from the motorcycle. They both sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Interstate 65 at the 164 mile marker, approximately three miles south of Montgomery, in Montgomery County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
