The Prattville Police Department is investigating a homicide at this time. The incident occurred on Pressley Street on Housing Authority property near the junior high school and Martin Luther King. One person is in custody, but details or an identification was not immediately available.
This is an active investigation, according to Prattville Police Chief Mark Thompson.
“We had a shooting on Pressley. When we arrived we learned there was some type of argument and shots were fired. The ones that are involved have been accounted for,” Chief Thompson told the EAN.
Officials are asking for people to stay away from the scene as detectives are investigating. Chief Thompson said he would update the EAN with more information as he is able.
