FROM THE ELMORE COUNTY COMMISSION
The Elmore County Commission thanks the volunteers in the Crenshaw area for working this past weekend and making a difference in our communities. Groups have been busy for the last few months picking up litter throughout the county. Even though there have been hundreds of bags of trash collected during roadside and lake cleanups, there is still a littering issue that needs attention. You may not realize how you can contribute to this effort, but just changing a few habits can help.
*Do not over fill your trash cans
*Bag trash prior to disposing in your trash can
*Check the bed of your truck for loose trash that could blow out
*Report illegal dumping to the proper authorities
*Organize or participate in community litter pickup events
