Three-Vehicle Crash Wednesday Claims Life of Eclectic Man identified as Elin Pollard

MONTGOMERY POST – A three-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, has claimed the life of an Eclectic man. Elin Pollard, 37, was fatally injured when the 2008 Honda CRV he was driving ran off the roadway before re-entering the roadway and colliding with a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Trevor Grubbs, 50, of Alexander City.

A 2012 Ford Fusion driven by De’Vontae Dorsey, 21, of Montgomery ran into the rear end of Grubbs’ Nissan Altima as a result of the initial collision. Pollard succumbed to injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 9 near the 138 mile marker, approximately five miles north of Eclectic, in Elmore County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
