Max Credit Union held their 4th annual MAX4kids Clay Shoot at the Lower Wetumpka Shotgun Club on Wednesday afternoon. The fundraiser raises money for children’s charities and high school scholarships in Alabama.

The event held 14 teams and over 50 people, a welcome site to Jamie Brown, Vice President of Relationship Development for Max Credit Union.

“It was great to be back at this event after we had to cancel it last year. This is a really special fundraiser for us, and we always enjoy coming out here,” Brown said. “In order for us to pump money back into the community, it’s vital that we have fundraisers like this one – and our team members always do a great job putting it all together. We also couldn’t do any of this without the help of our wonderful sponsors”.

Several participants in the clay shoot had glowing reviews for the fundraiser.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to help children in the area and to team build with co-workers and friends,” said Tracy Scully.

“Max Credit Union is a fantastic partner with us, and we want to come out and give back to the local community in anyway possible. There’s no better way to do that than through something like this,” said Tanner Hicks, representative of the Alabama Wildlife Foundation and participant in the fundraiser.

Overall, the high turnout will manifest into more opportunities for children of Alabama.

“We’re anticipating collecting about $5,000 dollars from this event, which will, in turn, go towards local charities and scholarships for our local kids,” Brown said.

Max Credit Union’s next major fundraiser will take place on October 20th at Robert Trent Jones Golf Course for their MAX4kids golf tournament. All benefits go towards their MAX4kids foundation.
