Organizations Encouraged To Participate In Stanhope Elmore College and Career Fair

Businesses are encouraged to participate in Stanhope Elmore High School’s (SEHS) College and Career Fair on Tuesday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to 12:15 pm. More than 20 organizations are already signed up for the fifth annual event hosted by the Career and Technical Education departments.

“We are excited about the upcoming Career Fair that will be held April 27th on the campus of Stanhope Elmore High School,” said Emma Constant, who teaches business education at SEHS.  “We try to expose our students to careers and preparation opportunities through higher learning such as technical schools, universities, colleges, and the armed forces.”

1st Sgt. James Chambers is coordinating the event.  He said all career and technical education classes first through third block will attend Fair Day. “Our Career Day is about opportunities for students.  I want students to understand that there are opportunities outside of Millbrook too,” Chambers said.

Organizations represented at the College and Career Fair will include: United States Army Recruiters; United States Air Force Recruiters; United States Navy Recruiters; United States Coast Guard Recruiters; United States Marine Corp Recruiters; Gumptown Magazine ;Alabama Army National Guard Recruiters;  Alabama Air National Guard Recruiters; Auburn Montgomery ROTC; Marion Military Institute; Trenholm State University; Alabama Department of Corrections Recruiting; Alabama Forestry Recruiter; Alabama State Police Recruiter; Montgomery Police Department Recruiter; Montgomery Fire Department Recruiter; Waffle House; Front Porch Grill; Max Credit Union; and the Air Force Academy (in the works).
