As of April 5, 2021, all individuals age 16 and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Alabama.
The Pfizer vaccine is the only COVID-19 vaccine currently approved for age 16 and older. Currently, county health departments are giving the Moderna vaccine. Other providers, such as hospitals and some pharmacies, are giving the Pfizer vaccine.
