PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Chance! Boxer Mix Found in County, Owner Never Claimed Him

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Chance was chosen to be our featured pet this week.

Chance is a 3-year-old male Boxer mix who must be neutered before he is adopted.  He was brought to PAHS after he was found out in the county; unfortunately his owner never reclaimed him.  Chance has a stunning coat that is brindle and white.  He almost looks like a tiger!  Chance weighs 56 pounds so he is considered to be a large dog.  He is the sweetest and biggest baby ever!  The PAHS staff just adore him.  Chance is easy going and gets along well not only with the staff but with other dogs, and would be great with children!  This affectionate and friendly fellow is also active and playful.  Chance would love to have a nice fenced yard where he could safely play and exercise.  Chance deserves a second “chance” with a loving family who will treasure him and treat him the way he deserves.  We are all excited for when that family will come to adopt Chance.

Our adoption fee is $120 for dogs and $50 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm except for one day each month that is reserved for staff training.

That will be on Thursday, March 25th.  Adoptions are by appointment only at this time.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

We appreciate all you do in helping these wonderful pets find homes.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
