From the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency
Meet ALEA Trooper John Martin.
He loves being a law enforcement officer almost as much as he loves helping others. Back in mid-January, he met a man down on his luck along Interstate 65 in Lowndes County. The man had almost nothing on that frigid morning, so Trooper Martin took him to a nearby store and – with his own money – purchased weather-appropriate clothing (including pants, hoodie, socks) and something to eat before escorting him to a Montgomery shelter to ensure he had a warm place to stay that night.
For this ALEA Trooper, it is not a job; it is a calling. Thank you for your dedication and service!
