See the Montgomery Zoo transformed into a Winter Wonderland displaying thousands of sparkling and twinkling lights and festive decorations at Christmas Lights Festival. Take a leisurely stroll, a brisk train ride, or see the lights from atop the Zoofari Skylift Adventure Ride. Visit Santa, enjoy the live nightly entertainment at the Overlook Cafe, and no winter’s night would be complete without some warming hot chocolate and fresh baked cookies.

The Annual Autauga Creek Christmas Tree Trail is coming to downtown Prattville and the Creekwalk. Trees will be lit on Thursday December 3rd and stay lit until Sunday January 3rd. This is a fundraiser for the Family Support Center and a great way to showcase your business throughout the month of December.

Enjoy the beauty of Historic Downtown Prattville for the month of December by taking a stroll along the Creekwalk and enjoying all of the beautifully decorated trees sponsored by local businesses and organizations.

DECEMBER 3

The Annual Tree Lighting for the City of Millbrook will be held beginning at 6 p.m. at the Village Green Park Thursday, Dec. 3. There will be caroling, treats, concessions, live entertainment and more! Other than concessions for sale, this event is free and a great way to welcome in the Christmas season. This is a FREE event, but you are encouraged to bring a can of food for the WELCOME Food Pantry. 

DECEMBER 4

Prattville Christmas Parade Will Roll! A favorite holiday tradition returns! Prattville’s Annual Christmas Parade will be on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. We will be making some adjustments to try to minimize the risk to our community while maintaining a fun, family-friendly event. This year we will be limiting the number of entries for participants. Participants not of the same household are encouraged to wear a mask if proper social distancing cannot be maintained. DECEMBER 5

Tallassee will celebrate the season with a Christmas Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

The parade starts in East Tallassee at the Church of Christ and ends at CVS beside the High School.  One of the best places to watch the parade is beside City Hall or in downtown Tallassee.

DECEMBER 5

HOLTVILLE/SLAPOUT FIRE &RESCUE Christmas parade will be held on December 5th at 4:00 pm. All floats are welcomed. Line up is at 3:00 pm.

Christmas tree lightning at 5:00 pm.

All church choirs welcome to join in singing Christmas Carol’s around the tree.

The Holtville/Slapout Fire & Rescue Auxiliary will have the Sugar Shack open with coffee, hot chocolate, hotdogs, hamburgers, Conecuh sausages, chips and drinks for sale.

DECEMBER 5

The City of Millbrook will welcome the Spirit of Christmas Festival and Parade on Saturday, Dec. 5. The Festival features vendors, arts and crafts, entertainment and more. It begins at 9 a.m. and will continue after the parade.

The Parade will roll at 2 p.m. from the Smokehouse Barbecue down to the old City Hall and Village Green. Entry into the parade is free, and applications can be found on the City of Millbrook website. Paid vendor booths are available. Applications for the parade or as a vendor can be found at cityofmillbrook.org

DECEMBER 6

The Town of Autaugaville will celebrate the Christmas Season on Sunday, Dec. 6 with the annual Parade and Tree Lighting. The fun begins at 4 p.m. All businesses, Civic organizations, you and you and you are encouraged to participate. For more information, or to RSVP to 334-365-9563.

DECEMBER 11

Prattville Christmas Variety Show

Doster Community Center 7 p.m.

What do Carol Burnett, Donny and Marie and Prattville have in common? They all have talent and variety shows! The City of Prattville is excited to add a new event to our Christmas line-up—a Christmas variety show! The show will feature local and regional talent and will have a Christmas theme.

This show will be fun for the entire family with songs, dance, skits and more, showcasing local performers. The event will be held at the Doster Community Center in Prattville on Friday, December 11, at 7:00 p.m. Mark your calendar because you do not want to miss this fun-filled event. The show will be free, but reservations are required in order to allow for social distancing.

Eclectic’s Holiday Whobilation will be a great time for everyone whether you are a Grinch or a Cindy Lou Who! Come on out and check out the vendors from 10 am – 6 pm. We will have all kinds of vendors with an assortment of wares from jewelry and crafts to baked goods and clothing!

And stick around for the parade at 6 pm. Let’s see who has the Grinch-iest float and who is a real Martha May Whovier and goes all out with their lighting! Be sure to drive around town and check out the decorations as there will be a home and business decorating contest as well! We hope to see you in Eclectic on December 12th for our Holiday Whobilation!

The Vida Community Christmas Parade will roll this year beginning at 2 p.m. from the Vida Community Center in Autauga County. Often called the “Biggest Small-Town Parade Anywhere” it draws people from all over to enjoy a traditional, down home event with surprises every year.
