PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Ginger! Recovered Now after Being Hit By Car

PAHS Pet of the Week – Ginger

Ginger was chosen to be our featured pet this week.

Ginger is a 3-year-old female Corgi mix who must be spayed before she is adopted.  This little girl is solid brown and she is just a beautiful little sweetheart.  Ginger has had a bit of a rough life.  She was hit by a car and her back leg was badly injured.  The kind lady who found her took her to the vet and Ginger is now as good as new!  She has had puppies and her puppies all found homes before Ginger came to the shelter.  So it is now time for precious Ginger to find her very own family and home!  She weighs 25 pounds so she is considered to be a small adult dog; the perfect size to fit in just about anywhere.  Ginger is already house trained and leash trained.

She would be great with children but she is a bit selective about whether she likes other dogs.  In fact, she was brought to the shelter because she wasn’t getting along with the other dogs at her house.  In fairness to Ginger, if you have other dogs we would suggest a ‘meet and greet’ with your dogs. Ginger is an all-around fantastic dog–beautiful, sweet, and house trained.  Please consider giving Ginger the life she deserves with all the love she could ever want.

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.

The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We will be closed on this Thursday for Thanksgiving Day.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

The help you give these pets in finding homes is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
