A Montgomery man was arrested overnight by the Prattville Police Department and faces two counts of Attempted Burglary, and one count of Possession of Burglar’s Tools.

Robert Herman Gould, 61, was taken into custody by Prattville officers just before midnight, records show.

Prattville officers responded to the area of Bama Lanes Thursday night after a report of someone trying to break into a store in the area. Multiple Prattville Officers arrived and blocked off the entrances to the Bama Lanes parking lot and general area.

Gould was reportedly found and arrested behind one of the stores after actively attempting to forcibly enter a business, Chief Mark Thompson said.

The Prattville Police Department is currently investigating the burglary or attempted burglary of three (3) different nail and beauty salons and one (1) beauty supply store that occurred within the last seven (7) days in the City of Prattville.

Other charges are pending in Elmore County due to the location of several of businesses.

Gould is in Autauga Metro Jail under a bond of $12,000.

The investigation is ongoing, according to Police Chief Mark Thompson.
