PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Buttercup! Friendly, Affectionate and Well-Behaved

Prattville Autauga Humane Shelter

Pet of the Week – Buttercup

Buttercup was chosen to be our featured pet this week.  She is such a wonderfully sweet dog!

Buttercup is a 3-year-old female Lab/Bird Dog mix who has already been spayed.  She came to PAHS as an owner turn in because her owner is taking care of an elderly parent and could no longer keep Buttercup.  She is white with tan markings; and she is a beautiful girl.  Buttercup weighs 51 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized dog.  This sweet girl is friendly, affectionate, and super well behaved.  Buttercup gets along well with other dogs and children.  She is so laid back and even tempered she would be a perfect family dog.  Buttercup is leash trained and crate trained.  She loves playing outside in a nice fenced yard where she is safe.  We are so eager for Buttercup to find a great family who will treasure her and love her as much as we do.

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm except one day each month when we close for staff development.  That closure will be this Thursday, October 29th.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Your help in finding homes for these great pets is appreciated so very much.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
