Join us for the 2nd Annual Parade of Pumpkins in Historic Downtown Prattville October 23rd – November 1st.

The City of Prattville will feature carved and decorated pumpkins from our community along with festive storefronts and seasonal displays that will light up and transform Historic Downtown Prattville. This family-friendly event is free and open for everyone to participate. Grab a pumpkin, get in the spirit, and share your creativity at the Parade of Pumpkins!

To participate:

1. Carve, decorate, or paint your pumpkin.

2. Bring your pumpkin to Historic Downtown Prattville.

3. Place it on display along the parade or leave it in the designated Pumpkin Drop-off area located at

102 W Main Street. Pumpkin Drop-off begins October 21st.

4. The City has lights set for your pumpkin each night. (Candles are prohibited.)

One of the best features during the Parade of Pumpkins is the festive downtown merchant storefronts. Each participating location will be featured in a “Best Storefront Contest” on the City of Prattville’s Facebook page, and voting will begin October 26th. While you enjoy the pumpkins, displays, and creativity, please make sure you select which Downtown Merchant storefront is your favorite by voting on the City of Prattville Facebook.

The Prattauga Art Guild is hosting a FREE Pumpkin Decorating Class for kids of all ages on Tuesday, October 22nd. This pumpkin painting activity class is a come and go from 4:00-7:00 pm (while supplies last) at the Prattville Creative Arts Center (342 S. Chestnut). Pumpkins and art supplies will be provided for this outdoor class as we continue to follow social distancing guidelines.
