PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Layla! Frisky, Playful dog who Needs a Nice Fence

FROM PRATTVILLE AUTAUGA HUMANE SHELTER

Layla was chosen to be our featured pet this week.  She is a sweet and playful dog.

Layla is an 1-year-old female Black Lab mix who has already been spayed.  She was an owner turn in to PAHS because she would not stay in the fenced yard.  Layla is black with some brown highlights in her coat and she has a tiny bit of white on her chest.  That one ear up and one ear down look is really working for her and adds to her cuteness!  She weighs 35 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized dog.  Layla is such a sweet dog.  She is a frisky and playful dog who would need a nice, secure fenced yard where she could safely play.  Layla loves other dogs and would not mind being in a home with another dog; and she would be great with children.  She is both leash trained and house trained.  She is such a beautiful and precious dog.  Layla longs to have a family who will love her and give her a forever home.  We can’t wait to see this happen for her.

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.   The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm except one day each month when we close for staff development.  That closure day this month will be on Thursday, October 29th.

For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

We really appreciate all you do in helping these precious pets find homes.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
