Prattville Police Seek Identities of Suspect Passing Counterfeit Money at Multiple Stores

The Prattville Police Department has officially notified CrimeStoppers that one suspect involved in a Counterfeit Money Investigation has been identified.

Investigators advise that 24-year-old Montgomery resident Tyler Scott Kidd has been identified through CrimeStoppers as the suspect having big hair and wearing a white ball cap.  Kidd is only wanted as a Person of Interest in this case but has an active felony warrant for Theft of Property 1st degree in another investigation.  

The second suspect wearing the red shirt and red ball cap has not yet been identified.  Kidd is urged to turn himself over to authorities as soon as possible.

The Prattville Police Department is currently investigating incidents of a person passing Counterfeit Money at multiple retail stores.

On September 17, 2020, between 8:55 and 9:15 p.m., an unknown male wearing a red shirt passed two counterfeit bills at a retail store in Prattville. He was accompanied with another male (NOW IDENTIFIED) wearing a white baseball cap. Suspects left in a white 4 door passenger car.

Prattville Investigators are hoping that someone will be able to identify these suspects passing counterfeit bills through the released photos.
