From Elmore County Child Nutrition
The Elmore County Child Nutrition Program is now offering free school breakfast and lunch to any child, regardless of eligibility status. On August 31, the USDA announced the extension of various waivers that support access to nutritious meals through December 31, 2020 in an effort to minimize potential exposure to COVID-19. While not required to receive this benefit, we still need families to complete the Free & Reduced Meal Application that can be found at www.myschoolapps. Those who are eligible receive additional benefits, including:
• Fee waivers for College Entrance Exams
• Fee waivers for broadband services
• Fee waivers for applications at many colleges and universities
• Your school may receive additional funding
Meal Services
The district will be providing meals to enrolled students on days that school is in session, whether in-person or virtually. Because we will need documentation for meals provided for reimbursement purposes, all meals must be preordered.
